10 FASHION STYLE TIPS (MEN & WOMEN)
1. Wear at most 3 colors at a time. The colour of your hair can be exempted but when it is a bright colour, ensure that the colours you wear in your outfit aren't loud - male & female.
2. The colour of your belt should match the colour of your shoes. eg. brown belt goes with brown shoes just as black belt goes with black shoes - male.
3. Neck ties should only be worn when the outfit is worn with a suit jacket - male. Of course, if you take off your suit jacket during the day, you can choose to take off the tie or not - male
4. Midi dresses go with pretty much any type of footwear but it is advisable to wear heels when you are short or have short legs - female.
5. Know the difference between casual, classy casual, official, corporate, formal, executive dressing and so on. It makes it possible for you to dress appropriately for any occasion - male and female.
6. Take attention off areas you are uncomfortable with. eg. being plus size, I'm very body conscious so I always wear lipstick and colored hair which takes majority of the attention off my body. When the hair is one colour, I opt for long or big hair - female.
7. Accessories can make or break an outfit so put just as much thought and consideration into it as you do the outfit itself - male and female.
8. Neutral colours must be a staple in your wardrobe no matter your profession or lifestyle. The simple reason is that they are perfect for the 'I don't know what to wear' days - male and female.
9. Monochrome outfits (black & white, shades of a single colour) look great but when it comes to combining different shades of a colour, be careful of the shades of a colour you use - male and female.
10. Jewelries (necklace, ring, wrist watch, bracelet, earrings, ear cuff, anklet) should be kept at a minimal when outfits are beyond simple or/and for non casual occasions. At most 3 kinds of jewelry should be used at a time. eg. wrist watch, earring and bracelet - male and female.
