PALMA RICE
Ingredients
2 cups white long grain rice
¼ cup palm oil
¼ cup ginger juice
Salt to taste
¼ seasoning cube
½ onion (sliced)
1 tablespoon paprika powder
½ can corned beef
Instructions
1. Pour water in a pot, add salt, ginger juice and rice then leave to cook.
2. When rice is cooked, set it aside.
3. Pour palm oil in another pan, add sliced onions and allow to fry.
4. After a few minutes, add seasoning cube and paprika powder then leave to fry.
5. Add cooked rice and stir thoroughly.
6. Allow rice to fry so that it soaks the flavour in the palm oil.
7. Add cornered beef and stir for the last time. Leave to simmer.
8. Take it off the fire after 3-5 minutes.
NB:
Be careful with the amount of palm oil you use since it melts and increases in quantity when it comes into contact with heat.
Ensure it is flavourful since it is meant to be eaten without some sort of sauce.
Corned beef is added last so it is quite visible when the food is served.
If you do not like spicy food, be careful with the amount of ginger juice and paprika powder you use.
Any other protein can be used (e.g. shredded chicken, minced fish, etc.)
